An exciting piece of news to share

To all our readers,

We have a piece of exciting news to share with you! Here it goes……drumroll…..

We just had baby number 2! No, it’s not that I just found out that I am pregnant and we are having the baby next year – literally, I had just delivered our second child. And it’s a baby boy this time 🙂 

I know it must have caught many of our readers by surprise! After all, we have never mentioned in any of our posts about my pregnancy, nor any indication that I was pregnant. Also, there wasn’t anything in our monthly expense reports that would have any inkling of a second pregnancy.

We didn’t mean to keep it a secret. It was a collective decision between Dave and myself. When we found out that I was pregnant, we were really excited, especially since it was something that we were looking forward to – expanding our family. Since Ally was turning 3 this year, we figured that it was a good time to provide her with another sibling in the family. And also, both of us love kids (whether we would want to have another kid after this is a separate discussion) so we were really delighted to find out that I was pregnant!

We were also thinking when it might be a good time to share the news with our readers. But as it is a private affair, we thought that this is something that we are more comfortable with sharing after the birth of the baby.

As such is now!

So what about expenses related to baby number 2? It is impossible that we haven’t spend anything in relation to his arrival? Or what about the regular medical checkups leading to his birth?

Yes, definitely there was spending incurred on that and we have tracked them separately. Dave will have them updated in the December monthly update and will also round it up as part of our final figures for the year.

For now, we are just enjoying time with an additional member in the family 🙂
